Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, boasts a rich cultural heritage and a strategic geopolitical position. Bordered by the Caspian Sea to the east, the country shares boundaries with Russia to the north, Georgia to the northwest, Armenia to the west, and Iran to the south. With its capital city, Baku, standing as a historic center of trade and culture, Azerbaijan has undergone significant economic development fueled by its vast oil and natural gas reserves.
However, despite its economic progress, the country faces challenges related to political freedoms, human rights, and regional conflicts, particularly concerning the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, which has long been a point of contention with neighboring Armenia.
